Most young managers have been promoted due to their technical expertise, but struggle to be good managers and leaders for their teams.

I was one those people. I struggled to be a good leader. Don't get me wrong. I was doing everything I could to be there for my team. However, I was there for them at, what I call, the project level i.e. supporting them on their projects.

Now, this is an important aspect of being a good manager, but what I've found in my 20-year career that it takes much more than that to really thrive as a leader and help your people step up to their full potential.

It takes more of selfless-ness to lead a team. It takes vulnerability and courage. It takes deep self-awareness and emotional intelligence. It takes operating less from your head, and more from your heart (not a physical heart, but more spiritual, more intuitive and more impersonal space of innate intelligence).

Connecting to the innate leader from within is one of the greatest things that has ever happened to me on my journey. Being more of my true self has helped me lift up others on their journey to discovering their truest potential, their best versions of themselves.

I find it the most empowering and the most liberating to show up to the world, whether personally or professionally, knowing how to be at my best for a more enriched life, more productivity and wellbeing.
